My client is an established Engineering company that Designs and Manufactures industrial equipment. They are now looking to recruit a Project Engineer / Project Manager to support ongoing business growth.

Title:                     Project Engineer / Manager

Location:             Chesterfield

Salary:                 £30,000 to £45,000

Hours:                  Permanent, Full time 40 hrs per week

Annual Leave:   23 days + Stats

Purpose of the role: To plan, manage and coordinate projects from concept to completion including installation. Delivering on time, on budget and within agreed budgets.


  • Improve and implement quality project management processes
  • Work to standard operational procedures
  • Adopt good working practices with Sage management system
  • Maintain good client relationships at all levels
  • Achieve a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and on budget
  • To assist in the development of new staff in the division
  • Work with the Sales team to produce general arrangement drawings for proposals and presentation


  • Provide advice and technical support to the sales team pre-order
  • New project reviews
  • Planning engineering / drawing schedules
  • Planning Manufacturing schedules – with Production Manager
  • Planning assembly schedules – with Production Manager
  • Managing the supply of parts for projects
  • Co ordinating the build of the Bills of Materials for the equipment within Sage
  • Production of GA’s for approval by client
  • Production of manufacturing design drawings for purchase of parts
  • Working to tender budgets and reporting on variations to costs
  • Updating Production Spreadsheets weekly in line with request from Finance
  • Site meetings as required
  • High level Customer and Supplier communication
  • High level team communication
  • Advance planning on all technical reviews with Operations Manager
  • Production of technical documentation to support projects
  • Production of FAT/SAT protocols for projects and planning for these
